I told the restaurant owner that the 2014 vintage of this wine had creosote overtones, and he let@me taste the 2013 this afternoon. This is much nicer! Almonds and cumin on the nose. Hint of cassis on the front. Light tannic structure Holds it together, The mid palate is full of high notes with a hint of mint in the lower registers, and it has a long mineral (flinty) finish..I wouldn’t have said the 2014 bottle was corked, but it wasn’t pleasant like this vintage.

Mar 3rd, 20242014 opened March 2024. The nose has redwood and creosote on the nose. Dried cherries on the front. Light tannic structure, but not much happening on the mid palate. Creosote on the a long finish. Drinkable but I’m not sure I really like this wine.
