Darker color and more prevalent fruit than the 07. Aromatics restrained. Palate has typical rioja notes but more subdued. Fruit forward. Winemaking more a focal point than varietal or region. Good wine. Slight departure from what I've come to love from Cantabria.

Nov 20th, 20142008, Sierra Cantabria, Crianza Rioja, Tempranillo Blend. Value conscious producer who is using a mix of French and American oak. Black cherry, plum and currant with a hint of cedar. Well balanced with good acidity and 14 ABV. Paired well with grilled pork chops and burgers.
