Nirea Yecla Monastrell - Garnacha Blend

I was surprised at the fine tannins on this wine from eastern Spain. Blend of Monastrell and Grenache

Clear purple color, dark fruit and a little smokiness on the nose. Full-bodied, dry but not overly oaky/peppery/tannic. It begs for brisket. Let it open up. Good value.

Surprisingly good big red

Perfectly paired with Erik’s hickory smoked ribeye. Clean finish with garnacha bold richness. Balanced and uncomplicated in an impressive fashion. Perfectly centred as it is geographically en España.
