Not as gracious in the palate, showing a bit of a rough blend, with evident heat, awkward acidity, tall structure of somewhat rough tannins, and dark flavors of roasted peppers, chestnuts, fennel, and strong espresso coffee. Rather akward. 82 pts. Hefty $17 for a low performance wine.
