Dark ruby red with light, brilliant rim. Tempranillo and Garnacha blend from extremadura, shows an awesome nose of dark berries, wild berries and dark chocolate. Not as gracious in the palate, showing a bit of a rough blend, with evident heat, awkward acidity, tall structure of somewhat rough tannins, and dark flavors of roasted peppers, chestnuts, fennel, and strong espresso coffee. Rather akward. 82 pts. Hefty $17 for a low performance wine.
