I’m not a Tempranillo guy, but this is pretty good. Nose has sweet cherry, vanilla extract, a little pencil lead, and an interesting earthiness that reminds me of wet clay. Balanced and nicely concentrated in the mouth, it’s got a good balance of red berry fruit and uncharred oak, along with a Medoc-like cooling leafiness. Tannins are quite soft, but the finish is a tad short.
