No formal notes. At a very nice Indian Restaurant in Kensington, London. A highly savoury medium weight palate with masses of fine dry tannins - a good food wine lacking a little with mid palate fruit but a little red fruit in this young Tempranillo.

My last Wednesday Wine Committee to attend this year. Quite the lesson in Spanish wines! As always, all wines are tasted blind.

Young? Yes. But the nose was to die for. Sweet American oak notes of dill and coconut. Needs another 5 years to come together, but for the price, this is a nice value. Great blackberry, boysenberry, and charred cedar notes.

2002 vintage, drank 5/9/2015...
Probably a bit past its prime as the coloring was tinting into a touch of burnt orange. Decent legs and bouquet remained. Balanced and not heavily tannic. Excellent daily drinker(especially at the price point) and probably a good option for those who aren't fans of either earthy wines or massive, powerful flavor profiles. Will probably hold up in the rotation with the starter wines like a descent Pinot.

High acidity and tannins. Hints of fruits, wood, pepper, earth and leather.

Very nice. Bought at a wine tasting last fall. Was a popular one amongst many.

Dark fruits, makes your mouth water, tannic but not overly so, blackberries and red currants--particularly tart...herbs?
