Big bodied Shiraz, drank right at its peak. Very concentrated grapes must indicate a warm growth season. Translated into massive flavor with very smooth tannins and nice full finish. Obvious fruit notes, but peppery. Excellent steak wine, deep purple coloring, defined legs, good bouquet, big finisher. Balanced all the way through. Great for both the experienced drinker and obvious enough for the novice. Not a first wine in a tasting series. — 9 years ago
Blackberry, minor touch of spice on the finish. Earthy tones stronger fruit. Straight forward with subtle complexity. — a year ago
2002 vintage, drank 5/9/2015...
Probably a bit past its prime as the coloring was tinting into a touch of burnt orange. Decent legs and bouquet remained. Balanced and not heavily tannic. Excellent daily drinker(especially at the price point) and probably a good option for those who aren't fans of either earthy wines or massive, powerful flavor profiles. Will probably hold up in the rotation with the starter wines like a descent Pinot. — 9 years ago
Decant. This wine opens nicely. Fruit note in the front. Black berry is prevalent. Finished with earth tones and vanilla. Well balanced with enough flavor to be on the chewy side. Would present well in most circles. — 8 years ago

Balanced and silky. Slightly dark skin fruit forward, earthy, shale, slight pepper. French Bordeaux influence. — 4 months ago
