A good but not outstanding 10 year old Gran Riserva Rioja. Unmistakable Rioja earthy aroma with laid-back fruit and slight bell pepper aromas. Not many other spices nor any vanilla notes so rather plain. Acidity is nicely balanced with long tannins in the finish. An enjoyable wine once it's been open at least an hour.
