Straight up plum purple in the glass with cherry red undertones. This is not an overly complex wine. It’s so simple and refreshing. And quaffable as all hell. On the nose, toasted oak, plums, violets, and cherry cola. The earthy goodness carries over to the palate with notes of vanilla, light menthol, dark berries, and some rustic traces of cloves. High, high acidity throws the balance out of wack a bit, but at $13 you can deal with it.
