Loads of fruit and pencil shavings out of the gate. Wonderful first glass and then after that was so-so for something above a crianza. 2013 vintage so maybe past it’s time or maybe dormant at its current time.

Beautiful tempranillo that just falls short of excellence. Earthy and powerful, nice dusty and liquorice notes. Feels a little too alcoholic for me. May need a little more time in bottle to mellow. I feel it is better without food.
