Not usually a fan of Monastrell - most I’ve tried have been jammy and flabby, but this was different. Nose is black fruit, smoke, and green olive, which all translate nicely to the palate with a wet asphalt mineral streak. Balanced and food friendly.

Outstanding wine at this price point. Nothing complex, but very nice for $10! We had it at Curry Diva and it paired quite nicely.
