This 6 year old Rioja is drinking very nicely now. Showing black cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco and black pepper. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate and spicy with a nice mouthfeel. This is a nice Rioja Reserva. Good by itself and better with food. Nicely balanced and fruit forward with a nice mouthfeel. Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. 14% alcohol by volume. 89 points.
