Seductive. Leather, tar, soil, fruit is dark. Dark chocolate, very ripe black cherry. A stunner!

Sipping Fine Wine

Numanthia is located in the Toro region of Spain. Its four vineyards are located along the south bank of the Duero River. Bright Ruby, complex fruit aromas, spice and oak. On the palate ripe Berry fruits, powerful yet elegant, with spice & smoky notes on full, very tight, tannins. Lingering finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with mineral earthy tones, a joy to Sip!! Will age well!

The 2014 'Numanthia' Toro is a stunning wine that is already offing wonderful appeal. While it needs a bit of air contact, the wine shows gorgoeus aromas of ripe dark fruits on the nose, particularly dark cherry and roasted dates most dominant. The silky mouthfeel glides through the mid-palate as this shows a distinct dusty character, and notable decadence, with black forest Cake, wild mushrooms, espresso bean and toffee flavors that ad excellent range. Downright delicious now, this great Toro also has the stuffing to cellar well for the next fifteen plus years. Drink 2019-2033- 93

Better than expected. Supple and full. Some cinnamon and a hint of sage. Not full of fruit like I’d feared.

Very good Spanish wine. Prime rib and fried oysters go well.

Love this. Huge, bold flavors. Totally happy with this now, at only 5 yrs old.
