Anciano Reserva Aged 7 Years Valdepeñas Tempranillo

I just Love Anciano 10 years but this 7 years bottle is very disappointing - still complex with silky tannins that has very offensive spice and oak - but it goes away after awhile but still- maybe I expected too much because of 10 years

Medium ruby in color; black cherries, graphite, and cedar on the nose;medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like dried figs, strawberry sauce, and dried blueberries with a long finish.

A bit light of a Rioja for my liking, be that as it may, it is delicate enough for fish dishes.

I like it, drink this with lamb it’ll blow your socks off backwards. Fair price for a fair wine, give this one a shot.

Idk what this note is - vanilla? Coconut? Oak? Not for me

Nice and easy. Fruity, light, a little dry. Just fine.

Too sharp for me

Smooth start with a bite finish. I don’t know enough about wine to know why. Oh well!
