Had to get a bottle for holidays. Beautiful dark color, blend of Tempranillo, Graciano & Mazuelo, aged in new French oak for 24 months. Concentrated red fruit aromas with light oak and spice. On the palate ripe red fruit flavors, complex with layers fruit & spice, noting espresso, cacao and toasty oak. Tannins are a bit biting now but should softer with time. Lingering, great balance on the finish ending with . Decant to drink now, otherwise let this baby sit in the cellar. No ‘12 or ‘13, so grab ‘10 & ‘11 now

Lucky enough to taste 2010 &’11 side by side. Beautiful dark color, blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Graciano & 10% Mazuelo, aged in new French oak for 16 months. Concentrated red fruit aromas with complementing oak and spice. On the palate perfectly ripe red fruit flavors, complex with layers fruit & spice, noting tobacco, cacao and savory pepper. Tannins are a bit muted but with an edge, lingering, comes together on the finish with great balance. Decant to drink now, otherwise let this baby sit in the cellar

2009. Still on the young side, just hitting its stride. Pronounced oak quieted down as we hit the second hour. Deep, complex, layered fruit. Graphite, black cherry, and wet stones on the nose and in the mouth. Full bodied. Refreshing acid. Long, lingering finish. Now I just wish we had held it at least another year or two.

Solid wine. Over ripe black cherries, leather, and white pepper...it's good, order it if it's cheap in the list...also get the older one, it will be better.

My friend had me blind taste this. I didn't get to Rioja, but I knew it was not French or Italian. It had the perfect age on it. Prime for sure 1994. This is the first Rioja that I've had with some good bottle age so I didn't guess it. Red fruit and farm yard. A little stemmy. Med weight. #rioja

Best bottle in a good minute! Dried herbs and spice, game, mushroom, and baked fruit. Baked with an incredible sour limestone minerality. Blackberry and cinnamon...on and on!!
