Rioja Tempranillo Blend

Another good visit I’ve had. It is adjacent to Lopez de Heredia. You can walk between in about a minute.

This is a good strand producer in Tempranillo from Rioja. Consistent good to very good quality yr in yr out.

The 2020 shows good quality but like always needs 8-10 years in bottle to show its beauty and elegance.

Encore un classique, un peu sur la descente

Good wine but a little bit overdone on the wood and consequently the vanilla flavour. Personally, I think a bit more "elegance" would be better

Mature and truffle-ey

Full bodied with a solid fruit core and good earth undertones.

39 years later, she's softened quite a lot but still holding on. Thinned sweet and sour cherries, underbrush, saddlewood, rustic, sawdust and a long elegant sweet cherry finish. Drink now if you have it. Amazing with the ribeye in butter.

Muga 1973. Un respeto a los mayores.

Sold as crianza in the US, but is actually their reserva.

Very nice wine but got overwhelmed with the Spanish food

My third vintage. Muga (tempranillo) it’s my… certainty. Affordable price, great value. It’s a premium wine for everybody.
