Rich and concentrated nose with baked vanilla ice team over dried pineapple with a dash of honey. Big on oak but not in a bad way, though still a bit toasty for my taste. Palate is a bit more toned down and any tannin from the oak is nicely balanced with ripe but elegant peach and tangerine fruit and a lovely weight on the mid palate, elegant exit.

Minty, woodsy and lively nose on a core of light cherry, ripe but soft plum. At almost 30 years still turning heads, and palates. Was a great match for brined and braised veal tongue.

Very Bdx-like! Classical and elegant, cedary notes, ripe cherry, graphite, touch of leather. Tannines completely dissolved, very smooth, drinking dangerously easy. Very pretty wine.
