Typically not a merlot fan but this is fabulous--at La Crema, Risemary Beach, FL, tapas and chocolate bar!

Dark inky in color with a light purple rim.

Light and bitter nose of blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates, green herbs and spices.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, bitter vegetables, green pepper, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, earth, leather and peppercorn.

Medium finish with round tannins and sour cherries.

A nice everyday red wine from Spain. A little harsh on the palate, and bitter. Nevertheless, works well by itself, but better with food.

I had it 6 months ago, and liked it better this time around.

I paired it with beef brisket and potatoes.

15% alcohol by volume.

Fruity on the nose with currants, plums, cherries, blackberries, cloves, oak, earth, leather, dirt, vanilla, barnyard, black pepper and spices.

Full bodied with high acidity and long legs.

Tart and fruity on the palate with currants, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, oak, vanilla, cloves, licorice, dirt, peppercorn and spices.

Medium finish with firm tannins and sour cherries.

This is a nice Merlot from Spain.
Simple, yet drinkable by itself and Well balanced, better with food, though. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
