Quite good with an interesting bitter finish that begs for cheese

Purer, fresher and better balanced than Juan Gil. Very sweet-fruited but not syrupy and soupy like most superficial new world wines because of its excellent fundamental notes.

Truth be told, the cool label got me. It's a 2012 Monastrell from Jumilla and tastes similar to other wines I've had from this region. Deep color and a full bodied wine, lots of dark red fruit with some spice including pepper. A very nice wine for the money...and a very cool label.
