The reserve from Lesmos shows the most cake like American oak, and the sweetest, darkest fruit of their range. It drinks very nicely now and was a good partner for a paella stuffed pepper with an egg on top. Hurray for leftovers and Rioja! This wine was very easy to guzzle!

Feb 27th, 2025K&L direct import program delivers again. Traditional Rioja with a well integrated hint of oak. Developing nicely; great now with room to grow. One of the better values in red wine that I've had this year.

Andrew at K & L Wines made this recommendation for me along with other more expensive Riojas.
This is a great value and perfect with pizza, a burger or at a tailgate. Went back after drinking a bottle and bought a case.
