I need to stop being surprised by how fantastic this Rioja is. At $12.99, red wet and smashable is all a reasonable person could ask for, but this is so much more, especially after four years in the cellar. This fine, nuanced crianza had poise, texture and length and nice cut for our baby back ribs. I loved how the American oak framed the dark Tempranillo fruit in this bottle. Luckily Morsel likes ribs more than wine and I didn't have to share it with her!

Another winner from one of my fave traditional producers. Oak on the nose, starts with orange rind on the palate before greeting you with the many more layers that await your enjoyment.
