Bodegas Breca
Garnacha de Fuego
Spectacular example of an affordable Spanish Garnacha that drinks well above its price. I had this with seared halibut with chimichurri and it worked well, though I would recommend it with red meat. Dry and fruity at the same time.

Sweet, seamless and broad in the mouth, offering jammy black and blue fruit and spicecake flavors that tighten up slowly on the back half. Shows appealing sweetness and no rough edges on the long, juicy finish, which features repeating spiciness and a hint of florality.(Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2021)

Light red in color with medium intensity.
Fruity nose of cherries, strawberries, raspberries, light vanilla, spices, alcohol, licorice and black pepper.
Medium-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with currants, cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, light vegetables, chocolates and earth.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Spanish Grenache is drinking very nicely as a youngster. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel and mild complexity.
Good right out of the bottle and needs 30 minutes to open up properly and show some tannins.
I paired it with a gorgeous day and of course, some cheeses 😊
15.5% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
$10.

Good blue/black berries flavor. Spicy on tongue and back of mouth. Thick and earthy. Good table wine, esp for $8.99.
