A Graciano of Rioja red by Bodega Beronia from Spain. Good balance of fruit and oak. This deep ruby wine is big and thick and gives cassis, black prune and other dark-color berries. Vanilla, chocolate and leather evolved after earth, spices as well as hints of ink and maybe figs? Full-bodied with medium+ acid and tannin, this Graciano is wild in terms of alcohol content, which may be too pronounced to ignore. Medium + length and a bit of bitterness could be detected on the aftertaste. This wine has a pretty good spectrum of flavors and pretty well-made. Better drink now or in the following year. Good value as well. 88points. Tasted in Beijing on Oct.1st 2013.
