Trying a new vintage. Hard to match that previous one. Deep black currant color. Smells of Indian curry, berry and cherry fruit, and wood cuts. Flavors are lovely. Currants and chocolate. Slightest of licorice. Incense and cedar planks too. This is the essence of affordable Temp from Rioja. Very drinkable, pleasing and balanced. Could maybe linger a bit more and have less intense tannins, but I could drink this any night and be happy.

Oct 18th, 2022Got an A- from James Suckling. I hope we have a similar grading curve. Color is lovely. Like blood in the veins. Smells nice. Rosewater, cherry juice and fresh cut firewood. Flavors are luscious and juicy with just a hint of smoke and oak. Classic Rioja. Balanced and deluscious. I’d agree James. 90 or even 91% for this pupil.
