Bodegas Atalaya
Almansa Old Vines
Like other reviewers said, and the lady in line with me said, this is a very well priced wine that tastes more than that. Less fruit forward than my tastes prefer, but still pretty good! We had it with braised short ribs, and cooked with it, too. Certainly a value red.

Very smoky, with rich black fruit compote notes.

Feb 10th, 2015Got this at the Wine Club over a year ago for a very reasonable price. A bit unusual but delicious. A warm earthy, jammy nose. P: vanilla, wood, baking spice, jam and a pinch of sawdust. I hope I can find this one again.

Sep 9th, 2017Very nice blend of Monastrell Garnacha and Tintorera. Full bodied with burst of black berries. Nice finish. Smooth and pleasant to the palate. Great with grilled steaks.
