Ripe cherry, blackberry and raspberry fill the palate with touches of balsamic vinegar, orange zest, coffee and black pepper. Medium-plus finish and body with bright acidity. Soft tannins, nice complexity and pretty well rounded.

1st wine of my birthday annual home-organized blind tasting (organized by my wife and daughter). I called it tempranillo from spain while smelling it with my eyes blinded but changed my mind and called it a Beaujolais when the blind was removed...
Very nice nose made of oak, some raspberry and currant notes, some meaty touches too along with a minty thing. The palate is very well made with a strong acid drive, making this wine very quaffable. Some raspberry notes all along, some drying tannins in the rear, a bit of oak and fruit in the rear, playing amongst these gentle tannins and giving way to a nice umami note in the very end. It was served along Japanese veggie gyoza with soy sauce. Great pairing!
