Bodega Norton
Colección Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon
Bright ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of cherries, strawberries, blueberries, vanilla, oak, leather, green pepper, licorice, beef jerky, spices and black pepper.
Light to medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, vegetables, spices, peppercorn and tobacco.
Short tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.
This 3 year old is drinking very nicely now. Simple and lightweight, but nicely balanced, unlike a year ago. Soft mouthfeel and easy drinking. By now, it has lost most of its earthiness.
I had it by itself by the pool, chilled.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Mendoza grown at around 3000 ft. elevation.
14% alcohol by volume.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart cherries.
This is a simple, yet drinkable, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina.
I opened it yesterday, and it was not drinking well, so I put back the cork and waited a day. Much better today, after one hour in a decanter.
Unique in a way, it is a very cherry like, Cabernet Sauvignon. Still young, and would benefit from one additional year in the bottle.
Grapes are grown at around 1000 feet elevation.
Drinkable by itself, but better with food. I paired it with a chicken and lentil dish.
