Miniscule production of high elevation, old-vine, single vineyard Mencia. A lukewarm first run with this producer. Light-to-medium red. Dark-fruited and earthy, with good energy and tight-knit tannins. Finishes with a bean-like character which I often see in natural wines that's got a little too much air. I'm not fond of the character, but if you can get past that, it's a nice tipple.
