The 2009 vintage is opening up with peppery tones and raspberry jam as a principal component. Pretty dry on palate with fair tannins. The aftertaste is nearly absent, faint raspberry. My recommendation is to cellar this one for another 1-2 years.

Vivid inky purple, little age showing at 5 year, pervasive cedar and cranberry nose, bitting tannic structure, dry, full body, medium plus acidity, red / smoked meats. Cedar is strong--like drinking a sauna.
