1 person found it helpfulMay 14th, 2013Dark purple in color with a lighter purple rim.
Fruity on the nose with dark chocolate, green pepper, blackberries, plums, dark cherries, oak, licorice, Black pepper and some funk.
Full-bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, strawberries, cherries, red currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, vegetables, spices and peppercorn.
Medium finish with spices and soft, round tannins.
This is a nice blend of 64% Malbec, 20% Syrah and 16% Bonarda from Mendoza, Argentina. Very drinkable and approachable, not fully balanced but still nice party wine at a great price.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

In honor of the World Cup. The German outshines the Argentinean here (I think it's foreshadowing!)

Jul 12th, 2014Unfortunately this 2010 vintage is on the way out.
First sips were better than the last .
Dark inky in color with a purple rim.
Fruity nose yet light, with blackberry, plums, peppercorn, barnyard and cherries.
Smooth on the palate with cherries, plums, strawberry and Mediterranean spices.
Nice on the finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
As it opens, it becomes sour. One Last chance to drink it.

Not an earth shattering wine, but fantastic with steak. Full-bodied, earthy, but of tobacco, dark fruit. Mellow mouthfeel with approachable tannins.

Aug 6th, 2018Had the 2013 in July 2018 I agree with most, would be greatly appreciated with a steak.
