Bodega el Angosto
Single Vineyard Valencia Red Blend
2009 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 25% Cab Franc. Quite nice, round, and structured. Velvety. Nice briary, sexy, tangly, bestial heart of darkness thing going on here. Like swamp lovin', without a care in the world. So, paint your face and body with animal inspired totemics, take off all your clothes, climb on the roof with furtive glancing, howl at the moon, and enjoy this odd varietal mutation! Awooooo! Happy Halloween!

1 person found it helpfulSep 30th, 2013Beautiful garnet in color with a purplish rim.
Flowery nose with blueberries, cherries, sweet strawberries, licorice, vanilla, oak, green pepper, leather, dirt, violets and black pepper.
Full-bodied with medium acidity, smooth and elegant with great long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, wood, licorice, earth, bitter herbs, green vegetables, forest floor, leather and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and unripe blueberries.
A great seven year old blend of Malbec, Grenache, Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Graciano and Tintorera.
This single vineyard blend is very enjoyable by itself or with Spanish tapas.
When fresh out of the bottle, it is fruity and delicious. On the next day, it becomes very earthy with a great mouthfeel. Definitely, a big difference.
Nicely balanced with a nice grip in the mouth. Complex and interesting.
Aged for 10 months, in 500 liter, French Oak barrels .
13.9% alcohol by volume.
