Estate High Altitude Vineyards Salta Malbec

Partially sourced from apparently the highest elevation vineyard in the world... so there's that... Exotic floral and bramble aromas combine with a loamy-limestone funky minerality along with some pepper and asphalt, but finishes clean.

Great earthy and leather notes finely balanced with fruit on the nose. Love!

Very good Malbec. Lots of earthy flavors. Definitely not a CA wine.

Paired with red pasta sauce (pork, zucchini, mushroom, onion, oregano, basil) smoked mozzarella and cheddar pizza. Not painfully sharp, but it cut through the rich pizza very nicely. Full bodied, not too sweet, fruity.

Oaky, earth tones. Great with meat.

A nice Malbec. Not blow you away, but definitely I would buy it again for a nice change of pace.
