Old Vines Bobal

60-80 yr old bush vine Bobal from a dry-farmed vineyard. Buttered popcorn nose. Might be semi-carbonic maceration? Tasty and cheap.

Still in Spain, this was a recommendation by the waiter of an up and coming wine from the babal grape. It was pretty good.

My first experience with a bobal. Interesting varietal. I want to taste more.

Flintstones vitamins, blood, macerated underripe blackberries garnished with violets, all balancing together nicely. Looking forward to day 2 with this bottle.

Rich terroir based wine. Very pleasant...
