Color of dull purple, a bit grey hue on the rim. Nose of dark fruits, especially cherry jam, spice, oak, tobacco leaves, sweet vanilla, and some aldehyde with heat in the nasal cavity. Nose is pretty good. Taste of ample acidity, with a touch of sweetness, soft yet good tannins, more oaky note, a bit minty and mineral, and more sweetness like raisins plus zest. Aftertaste shows a bit too much bitterness. This is the only complaint. Not bad.
