Dec 18th, 2021Initial aromatics of blueberry , milk chocolate, cola and hint of thyme. Very savoury on the medium bodied palate. No new oak influence having been matured in old oak puncheons. A fascinating and finely detailed wine. A blend of 73% Shiraz, 24% Grenache, and 3% Mourvèdre and winner of Australia’s most sought after Wine Show award - The Jimmy Watson Trophy at Royal Melbourne where the wine sells out in days if not hours.

That is a nice eye-catching label. GSM in an SGM order on the label. (Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre). Color is lighter than some of these blends, but it’s pretty in the glass. Smells of fruits with a funky note underneath. Hint of wet leaves. Flavors are sleek and easy. Plenty of tang. Bit of spice rack. Plenty of Santa Rosa plums. Perfumed (musk meets essences of roses).
