Bleasdale Vineyards
Bremerview Langhorne Creek Shiraz
Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Strong fruity nose with black currants, blackberries, raspberries, tobacco, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, vinaigrette and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, blackberries, cloves, vegetables, vanilla, spices, oak, earth, beef jerky, bitter herbs, dark coffee, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and spices.
This is a spicy Shiraz from Australia. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing some low level of complexity. I liked the nose better than the palate here.
13.9% alcohol by volume.

Deep glass staining ruby garnet color. Bosomy nose of blackberries and leather. Typical rich Aussie mouthfeel; blackberries and black rubber on the palate with a hint of cocoa and soft tannins on the medium long finish. Solid.

1 person found it helpfulAug 11th, 2014Huge surprise here. Initially, disjointed and difficult to enjoy. Nearly wrote it off. Had one glass and put the cap back on to try again the next day. Day 2: a remarkable transformation. There was a beautiful expression of dark berries and spice box. The body had firmed up a bit. Plenty of staying power. Big surprise, this. If you have some, slow-ox 24 hours in advance if attempting to drink soon.

Jun 22nd, 2017Medium bodied, fruity, nice tannins, nice mouthfeel. Drank with Thai muscles and crusty bread. I liked it a lot but expected a bigger, more dense wine, overall.

Jul 30th, 2018Nice Shiraz but nothing too spectacular. Baked dark fruit. Lacking depth and finish.

Oct 30th, 2017Good wine, starts off more tannic then I'd like but opens up and softens after some standing. Ok but not 96 points ok so Halliday is full of shit. Maybe 91
