5 year old style but already showing some lovely richness and with beautiful balance of nutty, opulent fruit and lovely acidity. Lovely wine.

Can't say that I remember opening a Madeira before. Not sure it'll overtake my fondness for Port but it tastes fine tonight.

Appearance: clear, m, nut brown to reflective gold rim
Nose: Clean, m/+, Roasted Walnut, fig, date, stewed plum, baking spice, burnt caramel
Palette: Off Dry, M, Toasted Almond, fig, date, raisin, allspice, black cherry, molasses, cardamom

5 years if age. shows signs of youth and battering/maturation. Fantastic companion to Christmas with it’s baking spices and dried red fruit forward flavours. Excited to explore more Madeira in the future ッ

Interesting - don't have much experience with Madeira. This is smooth and sweet with a bit of oxidation at the end.
