Jan 24th, 2018A reasonably dry Cab. Some great berry undertones which become even more pronounced after a bit of breathing. I can imagine this wine as a great vintage. The acidity is low compared to most Cabernets, viscosity is as you would expect, maybe a touch thinner. It opens up in the glass to a strong blackberry scent, and then relaxes on the palette and some great cherry, blueberry, and light oak come alive.
I was on the fence of wether or not I was picking up oak, but am leaning yes. Would absolutely recommend as a great staple at a VERY surprisingly low price. I would rate much higher if the price played even the slightest role in my assessment.
