Red and black jelly beans! 70 merlot, 26 Syrah, 4 cab franc.

Raspberry juice, green peppercorn, dark chocolate. Ripe but not heavy and quite nice for the price.

A saturated purple color is followed by an extraordinary bouquet of espresso, black fruits, cocoa, dried Provencal herbs and vanilla, an explosive attack, admirable freshness, and impressive concentration. Great BBQ Wine!!

Cedar to start which mellows to blackcherry, tobacco, and tar. Integrated tannin with plum and cherry fruit, secondary smoked meat. Cab franc fronted Bordeaux blend.

Nose was a little off-putting, otherwise a decent red blend with a smooth mouthfeel and a medium finish.

Gorgeous nose, spice and dark fruit. Opened up after 30 nicely.

Supple berries, clean finish. But, seriously, what are they alluding to?

I was anxious to try this wine since it seemed to have plenty of potential. This being said I let it breathe for about 5min in my glass before giving it a try. Initially it was overpowering in minerality. However as some more time passed it opened up to be a pleasure. It has a good earthy dark fruit nose, and the palate is a balance of flint, dark cherry, blackberry and some dry herbs. In the finish there comes a slight chocolate caramel to flow with leather. I will buy more of this wine, I believe I could drink it anytime from now to 2018.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very nice on the palate. Was not expecting much for the price but so love being wrong in this way.
