Terra di Vulcano Aglianico del Vulture
Aglianico in the Berkshires: a low alcohol but strong tannin red that doesn’t blink with red meat on the table. Somehow manages to be lithe ( theoretically less than 13.5%) yet potent. Oh , that nose: black cherries, gorgeous. Had with steak, grilled zucchini, fresh corn. Uh, and under 14$. We should be scoring wine on their ratio of quality to price. That’s insane.
