"Odedi"

Inky in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of black plums, blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, tobacco, cedar, earth, vanilla, tobacco leaf, licorice, eucalyptus, dark chocolates, black pepper, light alcohol, herbs and spices.

Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and fat legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, cooked cherries, coffee, oak, licorice, eucalyptus, tobacco leaf, earth, dark coffee, herbs and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious 8-year-old Syrah from Oregon. Showing nice complexity at this point. Elegant and fruit forward.

Peeking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 3 to 5 years.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, soft and smooth. Spicy with a nice touch of earth notes.

Needs 90 minutes in a decanter to open up properly and show the complexity. This is really enjoyable. What a great surprise.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and good with food too.

A small production of only 8 barrels. unfined and unfiltered.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$80.
