This wine is 100% Syrah. More specifically, the "Estrella" (or "Star") clone of Syrah. The grapes were hand harvested and the wine was fermented with native yeast. It spent 18 months in French oak of which 30% was new. Smoked meat, mixed berries, violets, & pepper. #santabarbara #star

Inky ox blood color. Nose of dark berry, earth, white pepper. Mouth coating tannic structure with acidity down the side of your tongue. Pallet has this wet leaves, dirt, peppery quality with juicy dark fruit coming through. Almost like a black raspberry at first. This wine definitely has a few more years on it at least.
