Bieler Family
Born to Run Cabernet Sauvignon
We bought this 2018 Bieler Family ‘Born to Run’ Californian Cabernet Sauvignon from The Wine Collective and it was the perfect addition to our steak night.
It’s not a big and boisterous Cab Sauv but instead a rather elegant and smooth Cab.
It’s a juicy black plum colour in the glass. Blackberry and raspberry come through on the nose with subtle baking spice, cherry cigar and Black Forest chocolate notes. In the mouth it’s juicy with perfectly ripe fruit and an elegant silky flavour.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Very sweet vintage. Fruity. Went well with sausage and tomato pasta. Easy drinking.

Sep 26th, 2022Solid wine - better when sipped alone, in my experience. With fondue didn’t do it justice.

Oct 8th, 2021It’s actually their rosé @Delectable . Yes we had a rosé blind tasting tonight, what of it? This one had notes of cardboard and a lil oak. Pretty bland tho considering 71% from Syrah. Inoffensive but there ain’t no neutral on a moving train.
