Fruity nose of cherries, earth, strawberries, blueberries, oak, spices, red candy, vegetables, black pepper and smoke.
Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Tart and dry on the palate with cranberries, tart cherries, pomegranates, earth, green vegetables, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries.
This Chianti is unbalanced and better with food. Simple with a light mouthfeel. Not my style.
I paired it beef meatballs.
A blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 10% Ciliegiolo.
12% alcohol by volume.

Pretty upset about this. Taste like it is made with Midwest grapes. Bubble gum and caramel. Blegh.
Edit: Okay, I gave it time to breathe and it completely transformed. Still slightly bubble-gummy and nowhere near the color Chianti should be, but much better.
