Bevan Cellars
Summit 1376' Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Dark ruby. Aromatic blend of red cherries, raspberries, mocha, baking spices, and hints of loamy earth and rose petals. On the palate, it’s a heavyweight, fruit driven Pinot with the density, alcohol, and persistence one would expect from producers like Bevan and Kosta Browne. It’s sourced from a vineyard planted to Dijon clones. Although sure to thrill fans of big Pinot, it’s a bit over the top.

Nov 28th, 2018Impressive weight and density, holding abundant Syrah fruit collaborations, with allspice, cloves and sweet, toasty oak alongside a truly velvety texture. Great length thanks to juicy acidity. Substantially better than the other two versions tasted recently.

Delicious. Mulberries, vanilla, and cream. Full-bodied and voluptuous on the palate.

Looking forward to trying the 2014. This needed some time to settle down, once it did, It was smooth sailing. Delicious.

Huge wine. If served blind, I probably would have called it Syrah and given it a 9.4. Quite delicious, just not very Pinot-like. MS loved it. Ok, so did I. #MidWeekHedonism #TheAntiRomoWine

My first Bevan label Pinot, having had his private label Cabs and Pinot from his time with Wren Hop. Russel seems to go bigger when his name is directly associated, and I wondered if that was possible. This is unabashedly full throttle nitro-boosted Cali Pinot. I’m going to give remaining and future bottles more time to settle down. This is a radioactive stallion.
