Tasted at Best’s Cellars whilst road tripping to the Yarra Valley.

Elegant tannin, medium bodied Cab. This is my kind of Cabernet.

Decanted for 1.5 hours - a move i'd advise right now. Medium intense nose at the redcurrant and cassis end of the fruit spectrum, graphite and cedar. Just over medium-bodied palate, plenty of fruit and an easygoing suppleness about it, yet elegant too and with moderate length, acid/tannin nicely in step. Really enjoyable young cab - structure and pleasing fruit, with more to come.

Silky medium-bodied Victorian Cabernet; in a very good drinking zone right now.

Very balanced. Med bodied for a Cab Sauv, leafy tones and nice finish. Great table wine for red meat meals. Excellent value at <$30

Totally thrown when first tasted. Thought it was an old Shiraz. Spice, chocolate, and plums. Couldn't really pick up the leafy characters. Supposedly a terrible vintage (One of the only reds made that year?), but every element was in perfect harmony.

Note: Guess Chave's right - trust in the producer. Wines that wow are often from the worst vintages.

One of the best examples of cool climate Cabernet experienced. Earthy, savoury, vibrant dark fruits
