Congratulations @bertonvineyards for snapping up a gold for this 2020 Metal Label Vermentino at the 2020 Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show (AAVWS) π
And thank you very much for this sample bottle π
The suggested food matches for this Vermentino are tempura prawns π€ and spicy πΆ seafood π¦. Drool π€€
We found it a pale yellow-green shade in the glass. The nose is super interesting, I was picking up everything from apples to lanolin with some floral and herbaceous notes too. In the mouth itβs more on the citrusy, tropical fruit side of life. Delish!
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Pale green colour. Lime and lemon notes. Fresh, zingy taste, but not too acidic at all! Brilliant white wine!
