Soave Vintage Edition Garganega
I don't often rate/review wines which I sell but this one bears a mention. The most expressive and unique Soave I've ever had. This is made in the "traditional" style where they make a first pass and vinify the grapes as you would a traditional white wine. About a month later they make a second pass and vinify as the would a red wine with extended skin contact. The resulting wine is full of acidity, minerality, and an amazing expression of fruit. Rainer Cherries dominate. Delicious, interesting, geeky, and (shortly) gone.

Mar 26th, 2023Smells of peachy melons ... almost syrupy. Melon taste right away followed by sour citrus notes. Not a lot of acid with a smooth finish.
