Mar 17th, 2019I don't use the app much, but this was one of the red-and-black fruit juiciest, most decadent (but pure and fresh) wines I've had in a while. Eager to see how the complexity develops as it ages. But it's just unbelievable delicious now.

Just gorgeous - inky dark brooding, gobs of blackberry but more black cherry mingled with licorice (more anise), medicinal, forest floor, raisins & prunes. Silky sexy viscous fat across mid palate and then off to lingering echoing finish. Just wanted a bit more acidity thru finish, but for the age, relieved it showed so well.

Beautiful red and black fruit flavors. Not as sweet as I expected. Big hint of raisins on the finish. Very refreshing, especially on a hot day. Good way to end a meal.

JL Bertani Amarone tasting 12/7/17. Ending wine special. Nice nose with notes of sweet yet earthy character. Beautiful on palate and nice balance with long finish. Yum.
