Dried violets and cherries. Tarry but not terribly harsh.

Spices. Complexity. Black fruits and berries. 13 years, but acidic. Tannin is still lots. Spicy. Needs decanting. bersano mantico barbaresco 11 @5800, F, 240908-240928

Fruit is nice, bright, but I feel like the oak is too pronounced for my taste. Maybe needs time.

$31.60/cs. Largest privately held winery in Piedmont, 230 hectares, founded 1907, bought in 1985 Massemelli/Soave. Bright cherry, violets, truffle earth, warm structured but not harsh. Warm dry vintage.
